Designed by brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1957 for Zanotta, Mezzadro is a very unusual seat: it’s made of a tractor seat on top of a bent metal bar and a wooden foot. While all of the parts are essential to this seat, the choice of references and materials make it as close as a functional industrial design piece can be to art.
