Designed by Richard Sapper for Alessi in 1983, the Kettle 9091 in stainless steel was the first of Alessi’s “designer boilers”. Sapper has given the 9091 a melodic whistle made of brass and consisting of two small vents in which the tuners that reproduce the notes E and B are inserted. When steam comes out, the two tuners create a pleasant short melody. The 9091 kettle is a multi-sensory object which will not interrupt an enjoyable break with a whistle, but with a captivating melody.
